A composer of mercurial melodies,
a nimble singer, and a force to be reckoned with.” –Boston Globe

Arc Iris is the moment at which a rare talent breaks out of the background and takes center stage.

Jocie Adams, formerly of RI indie folkies The Low Anthem, is the auteur of the singular musical vision at the center of a band that can play with both classical training and down-home grit. Arc Iris’ self-titled debut, released last year, jaunts easily from 19th century cello to 1970s pop. Where the album is well-crafted and tightly refined, a live performance by Arc Iris is spontaneous and improvisational, reflecting both the musicians’ mutual trust and individual nerve.
