A statewide chorus premieres a new work:
ONE VOICE

Providence International Arts Festival
June 13, 2015, 5:30 PM – City Hall Steps, 25 Dorrance St.

Gather at the beating heart of Kennedy Plaza—Providence City Hall – to kick off the first (ever) Providence International Arts Festival. Share in this unforgettable moment as a specially commissioned first work is unveiled and voices raised in song converge from all points of the compass.

RI-Sounding Voices is a statewide chorus that will bring together voices from all corners of the Ocean State, including choral groups—from Native American a cappella singers to church choirs—and Rhode Islanders of all skill and experience levels who just like to sing. This unique melting pot of voices will premiere a new work, ONE VOICE, that will embody the state’s vast diversity. ONE VOICE by RI-Sounding Voices is written and directed by Dr. Clarice LaVerne Thompson (Composer & Artistic Director), Shaunne N. Thomas (Producer & Moderator) and Cheryl S. Lopes (Managing Administrative Director), all of RPM Voices of Rhode Island.
