URBAN BUSH WOMEN IN RI: ART ACTIVATING COMMUNITY
’15-16 Engaging Dance Audiences residency
For three decades Urban Bush Women’s powerful moves have shaken theaters and inspired communities celebrating the culture of the African diaspora. For FirstWorks’ five-month residency project, funded in part by an Engaging Dance Audiences grant from Dance USA, Urban Bush Women engaged Providence audiences with a series of workshops, talks, community dinners and performance.
