American Rhapsody: The Gershwin Songbook

Betsayda Machado y Parranda El Clavo

A mini performance by the “Voice of Venezuela” bringing a freshness to the traditional tambor genre of traditional Venezualan music. Musical storytelling speaks to the country’s strength despite ongoing crises. Appropriate for all grades.

Manual Cinema Lula Del Ray
Monday, April 9, 2018 — 11:15 AM -12:45 PM at Moses Brown Woodman Center
This full performance will be followed by a short lecture/demonstration. Students will be immersed in a wonderful coming-of-age story while observing the stagecraft involved in creating a production. Appropriate for grades 6-12.
