with Jillian Davis of Complexions Contemporary Ballet

March 13, 4:30-6 PM
Granoff Center for the Creative Arts, Studio 1
154 Angell Street, Brown University Providence

FirstWorks and ASaP (Artists and Scientists as Partners) co-host a Master Class with Jillian Davis from Complexions Contemporary Ballet, in conjunction with the ASaP 2019 Symposium.

Complexions is a contemporary dance company that celebrates differences; considers dance a way to remove boundaries, not reinforce them; and honors the past while embracing the future.

Come and learn from the talented Jillian Davis on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 4:30-6 p.m. In this mixed-level open ballet class you will learn Repertoire from Complexions co-founder Dwight Rhoden’s From Bach to Bowie, a spectacular evening of dance coming to FirstWorks’ Artistic Icons Series at Providence Performing Arts Center on April 17th. This is a rare opportunity to learn from a master ballet dancer and star, Jillian Davis!

Complexions makes it “sensationally, jaw-droppingly clear that we live in the age of the super-dancer, at a time when technical virtuosity is being redefined as an expressive state” —Dance Magazine
