Collaboration is central to FirstWorks' mission. We intend to reach across genres, cultures, ages, and organizations to:

Our multi-year partners include Providence’s Department of Art, Culture & Tourism, Providence Performing Arts Center, Brown University and Rhode Island School of Design.
This season we are pleased to launch new collaborations with:
- -The Silk Road Project and Yo-Yo Ma: Season of the Silk Road--a six-month educational project culminating in the premiere performance of their 2009 North American tour.
- - Community MusicWorks: a commissioned work by composer Daniel Bernard
Roumain (DBR) to premiere during the FirstWorks Festival. - - Providence Singers: An American Masterpieces concert featuring contemporary American choral composers.
